Afraid of my light, My heart a storm, my soul asleep, Yet something called a distant hum, A pull to rise, to overcome. The stars, they fell, they burned, they broke, And from their chaos, light awoke-- I saw their fire, their reckless grace, And felt a stirring in my soul. For I, like them, had lost my way, A wild soul defeated, hurt, and afraid, But in their shattered beauty’s glow, I learned to trust the ebb and flow. They do not fear the storms they face, They burn through darkness with an embrace, They are born from chaos. Still, they shine so effortlessly, Leaving the universe never quite the same, And though they flicker, though they fall, They rise again—through it all. In that light, I found my strength, A spark within me stretched at length. The fear no longer held me tight, For I, too, could shine through the night. So like the stars, I’ll blaze and bend, Not perfect, but learning to ascend. Being a little battered and bruised does not mean I cannot remain beautiful With every scar, with every burn, I gather the strength to finally return-- To the wildness of my heart’s design, To heal, to rise, to shine brightly. For in the chaos, I’ve learned to be, A star, A soul, wild and free. Letting my light guide the way, I return home to me.
